The Bookshelf Newmarket was the first book fair where the Immigrant Writers Association (IWA) had a booth … and we loved the experience!
The event was very well organized and a pleasure to attend. It increased the visibility of our association and members (both online and offline), attracted new members, helped us realize how we can improve IWA’s public image … and we learned a lot (both as members/authors and as an association). Not to mention the connections we’ve made and the Reading Lounge which featured four of IWA members: Nina Munteanu, Gabriela Casineanu, Andreea Demirgian, Andreea Dana Munteanu and Claudiu Murgan! 🙂

Just because we’re a new organization – incorporated on June 5, 2018 with 13 co-founders – doesn’t stop us to dream big and take action: IWA will be present at the Word on the Street Festival Toronto – Canada’s largest FREE book and magazine festival!
