Join us online to celebrate the third Annual General Meeting of the Immigrant Writers Association (IWA/AEI) and the launch of its second anthology co-authored by its members!

Written by Canadian immigrants during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Grow Together anthology will leave you inspired and more resourceful!

The fifteen co-authors reflect the fabric of Canada in their diversity. With roots in South Africa, Romania, Russia, RD-Congo, Cameroon, Senegal, Somalia, India, Mexico, and Jamaica, each of these authors experience immigration in their unique way. Assertive thought leaders, they emerge resilient and ready to inspire others!

From coming-of-age stories … to futuristic tales of a decimated Ontarian landscape; from personal experience and tips on how to make the most of mentors … to a life-changing discussion on when to wear a hijab; from a town that comes together when a small boy saves a cat … to an introvert’s thoughts on pandemic’s signals for personal growth, their stories resonate with the same frequency: how best to adjust to a new life!

A book that is equally heartbreaking and heartwarming. It is inspiring. And well worth reading.

~ David Albertyn

Be aware of how brave these individuals that take this journey away from everything they know are, and how that resilience benefits our communities.
