On March 21, during the online kick-off meeting, the Immigrant Writers Association (IWA) announced the Call for Submissions for our Second Anthology titled Grow Together.

1. Call for Submissions
Call for Co-authors! We do consider previously published work but would prefer new and original work for the 2020 anthology project Grow Together.
Similar to Building Bridges (IWA’s 2019 anthology), a different co-author will write each chapter of the 2020 anthology (in the preferred genre).
To confirm your interest in being a co-author of the Grow Together anthology, please read the IWA & Co-author Agreement and send us the signed agreement.
2. What We Are Looking For [short video]
The Grow Together anthology will be a collection of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry that reflects what “grow together” means to each Co-author (who is a Canadian immigrant and IWA member).
This 1-minute video—The Allegory of the Long Spoons—is an example of what we’re looking for as content for the Grow Together anthology.

5. Ready to Join…
… as a Co-author of the Grow Together anthology project? Here are the next steps:
- IWA Class A Member: Send* us the signed agreement by March 30th and begin writing your chapter.
- IWA Class B Member: Send* us the signed agreement by March 30th, begin writing your Chapter, and upgrade** to Class A Membership by April 30th to be considered for this anthology.
- Not an IWA Member? To join this anthology project, please fill out the Membership Application first (choose Class A Membership) and we’ll follow up for the next steps.
*Options to send us the signed agreement if you don’t have a scanner:
- Upload the agreement (PDF file) to PDF PRO > fill out the required details and sign the agreement online > save a copy of the final agreement > send it to us
- If you have a printer: print the file > add the required details and sign > take pictures of each page > send them to us.
**To upgrade to Class A membership: let us know when you send the agreement (we’ll send you an invoice and payment options).
